It started at a workbench, not a whiteboard.

Rúben is a 21-year-old computer science student at the University of the People. Electronics have been part of his life for a long time now, starting as a hobby, then turning into actual work, and now into a company.

Before founding Enso OS, he spent three years on the front lines of hardware refurbishment. Not reading about it, doing it. Operating SMD remelting furnaces. Micro-soldering by hand. Running the same diagnostic checks on device after device, roughly forty a day, which works out to somewhere around twenty five thousand devices by the time he started building this company.

That's not a number from a pitch deck. That's just what three years at the bench actually looks like. And it's where he saw the real problem up close: a device's "grade" on a listing almost never tells you the whole story, and there's no fast way for a buyer, or even a refurbisher, to check.

Premium, reliable technology doesn't reach everyone because the cost of entry is too high. At the same time, millions of perfectly usable devices get thrown out, not because they're broken, but because nobody in the second-hand market could prove they weren't.

So Enso OS takes everything learned at that bench and puts it into software, so every device gets proven to actually work the way it's claimed to, without needing another three years and twenty five thousand devices to get there.
