Tech & Scale Strategy

Santo Tirso is the Enso HUB. Enso OS is how we'll license the playbook later.

Today, every device runs through the Enso HUB — a standardized validation pipeline we operate ourselves. Tomorrow, Enso OS will package that same pipeline as software so trusted partners can run their own certified nodes. Same playbook, low overhead per node.

Why now

Three regulatory tailwinds converging in 24 months.

EU DPP mandate
2027 enforcement.

Every electronics SKU sold in the EU will need a Digital Product Passport. Enterprises need a software issuer — now.

CSRD reporting
First audited cycle.

Scope 3 emissions are now auditable. Refurb savings turn into deductible carbon — if you can prove them.

Right-to-repair
Enforcement ramp-up.

EU R2R directive penalizes throw-away inventory. A standardized validation pass keeps salvageable devices in market — and out of landfill.

Enso HUB · Today | Enso OS · Future

One HUB now. A licensable OS later.

Enso HUB is the validation pipeline we operate in Santo Tirso today — a standardized, automated process that every device runs through before it leaves with a Digital Product Passport. We don't do repairs; we validate.

Enso OS is the future product: the same playbook, packaged as software for trusted partner nodes. It's on our roadmap, not on sale yet. Read the Enso OS preview →

Santo Tirso stays our hub for hands-on validation and edge-case audits, while the OS roadmap is what unlocks the 80%+ gross margin in later phases.

How we validate

What we do differently.

Silicone Analytics
Read the chip, not the OS.

We read hardware identifiers straight from the controller and compare them against what the operating system reports. When the two disagree — swapped logic boards, mismatched batteries, units sold as new that aren't — the device is flagged before it leaves the bench.

Every device passing through the HUB logs the materials kept in circulation and the CO₂ avoided, then issues a CSRD-ready certificate the customer can drop straight into their ESG reporting.

Founder

A mission born on the assembly line.

Rúben, founder of Enso Systems, standing on Rua de Sá da Bandeira in downtown Porto, PortugalPiscina das Marés in Leça da Palmeira, the tidal sea pool designed by Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza Vieira
Porto · Home base

Built from Porto — a hyper-connected city I recommend to anyone visiting Portugal — and shaped by the quiet precision of Siza Vieira's concrete-and-Atlantic architecture just up the coast at Leça da Palmeira.

I am Rúben, a 21-year-old computer science student at University of the People, and my entire life has revolved around electronics.

Before founding Enso Systems, I worked on the front lines of hardware manufacturing and refurbishment — operating complex SMD remelting furnaces, performing high-precision micro-soldering on production lines, and executing deep diagnostic audits on hundreds of devices across multiple Portuguese hardware operators.

During my years at the workbench, I realized a major problem: premium, high-performance technology does not reach everyone. The cost of entry is simply too high, yet millions of perfectly salvageable devices are discarded as waste because of a massive trust deficit in the second-hand market.

My mission is to change that. By combining hands-on hardware engineering with automated cloud forensics, we ensure every single device performs exactly like new — making top-tier technology accessible, transparent, and affordable for everyone.
